DCC servers and X-Chat
Hi!
While I recognise like DCC servers (like mIRC colors) are a mIRC
feature, I've now spent a month or two behind a university firewall, and
not being able to send files to people without using the external
"dccsend" program is starting to piss me off. :)
I remember there was a patch floating around for enabling a dcc server
from X-Chat (Though apparently it was never implemented), but is there a
patch anywhere for enabling X-Chat to send _to_ such servers?
In mIRC, I believe you can just type in someone's IP (and port, I guess)
_instead_ of their nick to get mIRC to understand that you want to
transmit a file to their server, and not in the usual way.
Surely, other Linux users must have a use for this function.
