Hi list,

According to this:
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/xchat/xchat2/src/common/notify.c?r1=1.4&r2=1.5
we already should do WHOIS nick nick on notify online event.
I try to understand what is the reason for this and I came to the following
conclusion: a friend comes online and you want to see how much time passed
since he got connected and you issued the ISON command ?
IMHO, this should be optional whether to do it this way or the old way.
A model situation when this is unwanted is when the people staying in your
notify list have the ability to see when you're whoising them. It's big fun
to come home in the evening and see bunch of people asking you all the same
thing with the same words: "what do you want?" :)
So, what do you think?
