Currently, you and all others who are interested can bug GTK+ Runtime 
Enviroment maker (http://www.dropline.net/gtk/) to update to GTK+ 2.2.2 
(DLLs from http://www.gimp.org/win32/) or even to GTK+ 2.2.3, which 
would make unnecessary to set PANGO_WIN32_NO_UNISCRIBE variables, among 
many other bug fixes and new features.
