2.0, changing tab completion to the "old style"?

Hello.

The 1.8.x style of tab completion for nicknames was very much like the
original readline style:  if there was ambiguity for the completion,
each tab press would cycle to a new nickname.

The 2.x style acts more like tcsh and newer readline:  on ambiguity, the
possible completions are listed in the text window, and the user has to
type additional text.

Is there any way of telling 2.x to use the older style?
