You are probably missing the development package. It should be
called(logicaly) glib-devel.

Try installing this one:
ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/Linux/distributions/redhat/redhat/redhat-7.3-en/os/i386/RedHat/RPMS/glib-devel-1.2.10-5.i386.rpm
