The purpose of ignoring someone is to ignore them. There's no point in
telling them you're ignoring them, since obviously (to them) you aren't.
Ignoring someone but replying automatically would be a good way to get
auto-flooded offline.

There's no option (as far as I'm aware) that would tell someone they're on
ignore. Let them yatter on and waste their time, /ignore is for when you
want to stop listening, not for when you want to say 'I'm not listening,
nyah nyah.'
