And are widely ignored, sometimes venemently by IRC daemons that aren't
IRCnet, mostly because it specifies how IRCnet works and specifies
things that specifically break features that other networks want. For
instance AFAIK IRCnet is the only network that doesn't use Timestamps to
correctly resync channels on a netjoin. IRCnet didn't consult anyone at
all before releasing the RFC's, client or server author.
