log files

hi
would it be hard to implement, that besides %s for server and %c for channel 
one could use eg. %m for month and %d for day of month and %Y for year (taken 
from the date manpage)?
than I could name my logfiles instead of %s,%c.xchatlog like this: 
%Y/%m%/%s,%c.chatlog.%Y%m%d
this would lead to a directory called 2001 with subdirectories for each month 
and a logfile for every day in the format 
irc.chatserver.net,#channel.xchatlog.20010610
maybe it is possible already and i've just overlooked it
