zvtterm isn't something related to zvt's gnome-libs? If yes, I
don't know why you're getting this problem since Peter coded
a replacement and dropped support for this. Maybe
--disable-gnome works.
 
IIRC gmake is GNU's make. When you install a new GNU make it
doesn't installs as gmake nor create a symlink. My default
RedHat 5.1 had this, now it's only make.

Yes, but I didn't tried.
