X-Chat 1.4.1 and Glibc 2.???

Hiya, what version of glibc does x-chat 1.4.1 require?  I'm stuck using
1.2.1 on storm linux and have been told that x-chat 1.4.1 needs glibc 2.1
(storm ships with 2.07).  Is this true?  I don't really wanna go and
reinstall another distro just to get the newer x-chat (and a few other
apps) :P
