I don't think that's much of a factor, as long as you don't modify required
arguments or return values of current functions.

Give me about a day or two to clean it up... it's really rough, and doesn't yet
describe a couple features. (Like IRC::user_info() with no argument returns
your user info.)
Anyway, if you and zed agree that you should maintain perl.c, I'll concur.
If you *really* look at it, there's not much that needs to be done. The
current X-Chat perl scripting features are very simple, elegant, and make just
about anything possible, without overcomplicating the interface. I think we
need to keep that philosophy for the most part.
