Re: requirements?
hello,

i used to be a secretary, and work on a helpdesk now. one of my 'specialisms'
is microsoft office. as a result of that i have worked a lot with powerpoint
and when i read about wajang i was really enthousiastic, since i always missed
such a program under linux.
so what i will give as requirements are mostly requirements from someone with
a powerpoint point of view.
first i must say i totally agree with rik's: 'easy things should be easy, hard
things should be possible'.
compatibility with other presentation programs is a must, i think. and of
course being able to easily handle all kinds of picture formats, and being
able to edit them a little bit (resize, adjust color, crop, adjust brightness,
those things).
it should be easy to make a template, and copy templates to a new
presentation. what i would love is the ability to use two or more templates in
one presentation.
i also would want basic graphic functions as 'spacing' (define how much space
there should be between two letters) and using defined colors, instead of a
standard palette (e.g. rgb colors)
unlike someone else i think that basic animating and sound features are
absolutely necessary. (i hate them, but i know a lot of people like them).
things like a 'woesh' effect should be really easy to accomplish for the user.
well i think there is a lot more to say but this is my contribution for now, i
am going on holiday for two weeks and then i'll read what everyone else has
thought of.
good luck,
regards, marleen
