 there are a few reasons for this:

 - one of the subgoals of this project is to use projectmanagement tactics
 that are used in `normal' projects, that have a budget, IRL meetings etc.
 I'm curious what happens when such things are being used in a GPL project
with the developers scattered around the planet

- I want to get this thing going :)
I'm afraid if we don't use deadlines (in the beginning) that this project will
slowly die...and that would be a shame...
