We have to familiarize ourselves with the proper manner of dealing with the most sacred locations on earth, which !
are the houses of Almighty God, the Most Merciful. Most people have some kind of relationship with God's houses in one way or another. So how can we learn how to deal with the mosque, which is considered one of the stations for getting closer to God? Clearly, studying the application of elements of sacred law is a precondition for achieving blessings in this regard. -

One of the most sacred bodily movements before Almighty God is prostration, the posture selected by Almighty God to express complete respect when He commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam (AS). It is an amazing act when an individual puts the most noble part of the body to the cheapest thing in existence, which is the soil. It is clear from the lives of the Holy Saints (AS) that they had a great love for prostration. They considered it one of the stations of spiritual traveling, a journey to which no traveling in the material world can compare. -

The believer should consider the fact that the mosque is the house of Almighty God!
in reality, not as some imaginary concept. The believer should bring this fact to mind when he is going to mosque. If he sets out with the intention to visit a house of the Divine, he will be a guest of Almighty God upon his arrival. Let us reflect on this hadith qudsi, in order to help focus the worshippers thought when he heads to mosque: "My houses on earth are the mosques, so blessed be the believer who has purified himself at his house and visited Me at My house." The Host has to honor His visitor, so He has promised the ones who walk to the mosque in darkness with shining light in the day after. -

An individual should feel intense regret when he sees that he has missed an opportunity to bequeath a third of his money as a charity, an opportunity that Almighty God has given him as aid in the world Hereafter. So the clever believer should be careful not to leave this world before contributing to the building of one of God's houses, whether fully or partially, even if it is only one brick. Almighty God is gracious, and He w!
ould show His gratitude even for this small effort. The Prophet Muhammed (S) said, "Anyone who has built a mosque, even a small part of it, Almighty God will build him a house in the heavens." So are we going to do that? -

One of the recommendations in this regard is to specify a particular place in the house, even if it is a small space, that will be the place reserved for prayers to Almighty God. Is it fair that we designate areas in our houses for food, drinks, and sleep, and we do not specify an area for deeds which will last much longer? Ali (AS) had a house with nothing in it except a bed, a sword, and a Holy Qur'an, and he prayed in it. A small space with no kind of decoration is better for concentration, especially during these most important of life's moments, talking with Almighty God. -

Building a mosque has a material side and a spiritual side. It is possible that some tyrant will build a mosque, but it isn't necessarily accepted. Almighty God says, {The ones who build mosques are !
those who believe in God and the Last Day, who establish the prayer, pay the tithe, and who fear none but God, it is befitting that those are the guided ones}. With a little reflection, we can see that this verse limits the building of mosques to God's purposes, and limits the builders of mosques to those who have proper beliefs, like the belief in the Hereafter, who say their prayers and give charity, and who fear none but Almighty God. In the life of the Islamic nation, mosques are the launching points for intellectual and political development, and it would be dangerous for such important places to be in control of those who are run by the desires of the material world. -

A grave threat has been leveled against those who live next to mosques but do not pray in them. The neighborhood around the mosque has been defined as forty houses' distance around the mosque, confirming that the individual should not pray but in that mosque, as long as he is free and in good health. Not responding to the call of Almighty God in His house is a sign of not caring about the Master's orders -- He welcomes the worshipper into His house, but the worshipper refuses without good excuse. The following text reveals the gravity of punishment such a one could expect: Imam Sadiq (AS) said, "Some mosques complained to Almighty God about those who live next to them without praying in them. Almighty God replied, 'I swear by My Majesty and Glory, I will never accept one prayer from them, I will never grant them a good reputation in front of others, they will never have My mercy, and they will never be amongst My neighbors in Paradise.'" -

The purport of some hadiths indicates that anyone who commits to undertaking one of the recommended acts of the religion should keep the commitment for at least a year. That!
means persistence is one way of collecting the fruits of the deed, so the fullest blessings the mosques have to offer can be accomplished by continuity and persistence. This is what is understood by the hadiths which call us to devote ourselves to the mosque, and this depends upon continuously visiting these places of divine mercy. Only then can we achieve the prize that the Prophet Muhammed (S) has promised, which is represented by the following benefits: a strong verse, an obligation fulfilled, religious tradition renewed, knowledge gained, a helpful brother in faith, a word that guides or which steers him clear of destruction, and abandoning sin either out of fear or shame.
