Web, NEWS FLASH: MPZ New Image Standard?
Hey Web,
We were going to send this in the next issue of the Aesop.com
Webmaster News, but felt this new was important enough to get
out now.
A new revolutionary image technology for webmastering was
just released and it will surely be huge.
GIF and JPEG may soon become the less-used standard for images
on the net if this new technology catches on (and I can
hardly see how it won't):
The MPZ format is Here:

I predict MPZ will quickly become an accepted standard,
perhaps even bigger than GIF of JPEG. Here's why:
1. Superior New Technology
The compression of a 10MB photo in JPEG can result in a file
the size of about 3 Megs, but with some noticable loss in
quality.
The compression of a 10MB photo in MPZ results in a 100KB
file (!) with very little loss in quality.
2. Marketed Very Wisely
A. The browser plug-in is free for viewing. This means
that anyone can view MPZ compressed files for free.
This makes it easy for webmasters to adopt the standard.
B. The only charge is for the program that compresses
the files.
C. They have a good affiliate program that is sure to
catch on fast. Webmasters have the opportunity to
sell something that may become the standard anyway.
Marketers wait their lives for opportunities like that.
Finally someone is getting it right from the start.
3. Full Browser Integration
You can show MPZ files in your web pages just like GIF or JPEG
files. Eventually I imagine having the MPZ plug in will become
a well-accepted standard.
4. Will Speed Up Emailing Photos
Since emailing photos to family and friends is "all the rage"
now, even casual home users will want this technology to use
themselves.
Anyway, I thought I'd pass on this exciting news. For more
info about the plug-ins, the encoder, and the affiliate program,

All the best,
