I don't understand.  I _did_ try to post a few weeks ago
on the Linux distribution list a question about
atomic writing of pointers, but I don't recall ever
posting a request to lists.freeswan.org.

Is this the post, and I've just gotten my mail list servers
confused?  If so, I'm terribly sorry, and I'd like to see
it posted.  If not, I don't recall ever making such a post.
