I can give additional details on two of those:

Nexus started as a split-off from kha0s when the original kha0s founders
decided that they were unhappy with what had been produced so far and
wanted to start again from scratch. I guess they did, so they're probably
still at it. I'm on the announcement list, but nothing was posted there for
the past months. the webpage was a lower priority even back when
development was very active, with minor releases only days apart.

on Nexus: well, I'm the project leader, so ask whatever you want to know.
