Op de site van het Ministerie van Economische zaken staat een uitgebreid verslag oven opensource in Nederland. Daarin staat o.a. : "Open source software also seems to be an attractive alternative for (primary and secundary) educational institutes.", met verdere argumentatie. Het adres is:
