If you followed the discussion between Preben and me about GUI
preferences you will have noted that we will want some configuration
data stored in a file real soon now. We have something very simple in
oil-config (basically a key/value thing) but by now the Gnome folks
must have figured out something more appropriate.

Anyone willing to investigate how Gnome/KDE do configuration files
and report a summary to the list?
