Vertical Mongolian will have to be supported in the long run, because:
- There are 2 million people speaking Mongolian in Mongolia, and
4 million people speaking Mongolian in China.
- Both communities use vertical writing.
- Cyrillic writing is only used for Mongolian in Mongolia. At school
they learn both scripts. The important documents are in vertical
writing, though.
