Dependency tree tool for C/C++

I am looking for a C/C++ dependency tree generator for large software
projects. It should be able to create a dependency tree for variables to let
me trace through it and find out what is the impact of changing a datatype
of variables.

On Linux, we want to support Unicode for specific variables. We will change
the datatype of such variables to wchar_t. But since our project is fairly
large (millions line of code), a dependency tool that could track such
variables through the code would help us a lot in finding areas where the
code needs to be updated.

Do you know if this kind of tool exist? Your help is appreciated
