Arabic UTF-8 with the fixed fonts

Karl Koehler <koehler@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> just contributed Arabic to the
9x15, 9x15B, and 10x20 -misc-fixed-* fonts on

  http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs-fonts.tar.gz

which means that these three fonts now cover all characters of all parts
of ISO 8859.

If you read Arabic, please let me know what you think about these
glyphs.

Roman Czyborra's implementation of the Arabic presentation form
rendering algorithm as a neat Perl command line tool is available on

  http://czyborra.com/arabjoin/

"This filter takes Arabic text (encoded in UTF-8 using the Unicode
characters from the U+0600 Arabic block in logical order) as input and
performs Arabic glyph joining on it and outputs a UTF-8 octet stream
that is no longer logically arranged but in a visual order which gives
readable results when formatted with a simple Unicode renderer like
Yudit that does not handle Arabic differently yet but simply outputs all
glyphs in left-to-right order."
