UTF-8 mutt

My version of mutt now does double-wide characters, and it does
combining characters in the sense that it recognises them and ignores
them. The latest instructions are at:

    http://www.rano.demon.co.uk/mutt.html

There are two patches involved: one for mutt, and one for slang, which
is what I'm using as a curses replacement. (Apparently most people
link mutt against slang rather than ncurses; I don't know why.)

I read somewhere that mutt is the favourite MUA among Debian
developers. Eric Raymond uses it, too. It is fast, colourful, highly
configurable, and has good handling of mailing lists and threads.

I haven't yet changed all the code that needs changing for UTF-8 to
work correctly; I'm fixing bugs as I encounter them.
