Re: Progress on xterm with combining characters!
At <http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~rwb197/xterm-patch-0.5.diff.gz> is a patch
against xterm-120, which improves the UTF-8 support in xterm by adding
doublewidth characters and combining characters (up to two per base
character).
There are some issues with the selection, but apart from that it should
work fine.
xterm-120 : <http://www.clark.net/pub/dickey/xterm/xterm.html>
ucs-fonts : <http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs-fonts.html>
demo file : <http://www.ecs.soton.ac.uk/~rwb197/xterm/demo>
Once compiled and the ucs-fonts on the fontpath, run it like "./xterm -u8
-fn 9x18". It should find the corresponding double wide font automatically.
