By the way, our -misc-fixed-*-iso10646-1 fonts do not yet cover Lao
(U+0e80..U+0eff). If you can read Thai or Lao and feel confident in
drawing the Lao glyphs or know someone who is familiar with the script,
a contribution would be very welcome, especially for the 9x15, 9x18, or
10x20 font. Like Thai, the Lao font should be designed such that the
combining characters work if simple overstriking of combining glyphs is
used. If you can provide some Lao sample text, that would be also
useful. It is probably a good idea to stay with the style close to
the already available Thai glyphs, which were contributed by
Theppitak Karoonboonyanan <thep@links.nectec.or.th>.

A UTF-8 test file with all 65 Lao characters is appended below.
