GNU Emacs 20.4.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit) of Sun Aug  8 1999 on deneb

Could you send me an excerpt of your ~/.emacs file?  Perhaps I'm too
stupid to copy-and-paste from your web page. ;)
