Hi, Dear sirs,

I am writing some linux kernel module code under
RedHat 7.0 (2.2.16-22), when I reference to brk,
always hit "segment fault" error.

Following is partial code:

unsigned long mmbrk;
....

mmbrk=current->mm->brk;

What's wrong?

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

This night I finally did some website setup and
installed a WikiWiki clone on linux-mm.org:

	http://linux-mm.org/wiki/

Well, actually I installed three and this seemed
to be the only nice one for our purposes ;)))

Please add your gripes, ideas and thoughts to the
MM wiki. Your attention to detail is appreciated.

thanks,

Rik

Hi Rik,

sorry, I could not find a current email address for you, for here goes:

I am Frank Pohlmann and I live in Bangalore, India. I am a very active
member of local LUG and we are organizing a very, very technical Linux
conference. Think no vendors, think lots of programmers.

It is going to take place at the beginning of December and we would really
like you to give one (or two) talk(s). About - you guessed the Linux VM. I
know it is a long way to go (are you in the Netherlands or in Brazil?)

Oh, about me. I used to be a Linux editor for O'Reilly and then for
Wrox.....

Ok, I hope you would like to go to India and talk about Linux:)

-frank

Good morning. I am a student at the University of Phoenix in St. Petersburg,

Windows NT, Windows 2000 and Windows CE. Do you have any documentation or
links that would assist me in this endeavor?

Thank you,

    Hi,
    Could you please help me?

I need to measure peak memory usage of the process on Linux.
On Unix IRIS 6.5 the 'ps' utility shows the peak memory usage - that is what
I need. Buton Linux 2.2 'ps' and 'top' show only the instant memory usage. I
could not find appropriate field in the 'ps' and 'top' manual pages. The
information found in /proc also shows instant memory usage.

    Thanks,
    Vladimir.
