Hi, I have a peculiar problem in linux. I am working on embedded linux project for HP printers. We have customized the linux kernel and as soon as the kernel is loaded The memory consumption keeps on increasing at the rate of 4kb/14 sec. I did run ‘ top’ to find out if that the buffers keeps on increasing the same amount the free memory keeps decreasing. What does the buffer mean here .which process or kernel code is playing with this buffer. How do I fix this problem.
