Loadable memory management module

Hi,
 
 I wanted to know if implementing memory management in Linux as a loadable
module is even a possibility ? Just curious about any work or even somebody
thinking about venturing to try this.
 
 If you could please let me know if there has been an attempt or an ongoing
effort to attempt this, it would be very helpful ( and ofcourse very
interesting !!)
