Hi Guys,
Don't know if you are aware of HP's server class OS heavily
used for OLTP transactions, called MPE.(The latest version being MPE/ix
6.5,ie, Multi Programming Executive-Integrated Posix.)

This had been around since 1970's,and has evolved with
time, incorporating in most of the successfull OS concepts that have come
into picture over time. The current versions run on PA-RISC 2.0 platforms
and we are moving to IA-64 soon.

Ok,so much for an introduction.

Actually I have been looking around for some info on memory mapped
files, stumbled into your archive and could get some very useful
stuff. Thanks a lot. Here is a document about memory mapped files on
MPE,this is rather old,but I think is updated occassionally. Please add
to your archive,if you feel this one is worth it.

thanks,
Paulose.
