Caches...maybe?

[root@idolize root]# free
             total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached

-/+ buffers/cache:      79576      46356
Swap:       262072      55908     206164
[root@idolize root]# 

See what is printed out at 'cached' section. It should be aprox. (total memory)
- (used memory after boot) if you have the same processes running.
