	There is an available and well maintained patch but it is
unofficial.  I thought devfs was one of those "big" changes not stable or
well enough tested to make the 2.2 cut (such as USB) but that are
scheduled for 2.4 (therefore 2.3 dev tree).  Am I wrong anyone in the
know?
