Yup. The problems are that we need documentation for them. And at least
BeOS JFS and HFS+ are quite "hush-hush"-ish, if I'm not all wrong.

Access to a partition without caching through the VFS. Something like a
swap-partition, really. For databases, for instance, you could use a raw
filesystem to store the database on. The database would take care of all
the virtual file-handling, and make sure everything was consistent, etc.
At least, that's my idea of what it is.
