It wasn't quite ready, but I'd love to see the isapnp
module from the ALSA people go in.

None of Linus' arguments against other implementations
seem to apply to this one - it doesn't put policy in
kernel space, it's not very complex, it doesn't have to
affect drivers or any other subsystems...
