/dev/loop3 No appropriate device found
hi,
as a longerterm loop-aes user i have now the following problem:
at my computer (old) my mainboard broke down :(. i replaced it. the
hard-disks are scsi which wasn't a problem since the board had a scsi
controller. now the new board doesn't have such a controller and with the
additional controller the disks didn't boot anymore. after many attampts i
finally reinstalled the system, build in a new ide harddisk etc.. but i
left the encrypted partitions untouched as a lot of data is on there.
now i tried to reinstall loop-aes (version 1.7 it was and is). but after a
rebot i get the following message:
/dev/loop3: Kein passendes Geraet bzw. keine passende Adresse gefunden
(which is german and would be translated as:
/dev/loop3: no approprieate (or matching?) device repectively appropriate
address found
)
why that? any idea what i could try??
