What is the preferred filesystem

Hi!

I was wondering what you are using as filesystem on the backend and on the container? I'm aware that I shouldn't use journaling, but is there a preferred filesystem regarding performance and stability? And is it preferred to use the same filesystem on the backend and on the container?
