Loop-AES 1.x and multi-key encryption

I'm using the util-linux patchset distributed with Loop-AES v1.6h along with
the Loop-AES 2.1 kernel modules.  Does anyone know if the patched versions of
mount, losetup, etc from Loop-AES 1.6 support multi-key encryption?  Or
should I upgrade to the patchsets from 2.1 if I'm planning on using that?
