loop-aes initrd failes to boot 2.6.x

hi all,

I am using loop-AES-v2.0f with grub. I set the options in build-initrd.sh like 
described in the readme. I am using 2.6 kernel (pivot root = 1) and since I 
use grub + devfsd. I also set "rdev vmlinuz /dev/rd/0" instead of passing 
root=xyz int the grub.conf. After rebooting I get the following error 
message.

VFS: Cannot open root device "<NULL>" or ram0
Please append a correct "root=" boot option
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on ram0
