the only thing you need with 2.4.22 is 
patch-cryptoloop-jari-2.4.22.x or patch-cryptoloop-hvr-2.4.22.x
from
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/crypto/v2.4/testing/

because of the cryptoapi backport from 2.6.x
