Your kernel sources are not in state that can be used to compile modules.
linux/modversions.h file is missing. That file is generated at kernel
compile time if CONFIG_MODVERSIONS is enabled. You need to compile and
install new kernel. That leaves kernel sources in state that can be used to
compile kernel modules. Then you can successfully compile loop-AES module
for _that_ kernel.
