2h locked up after 9 hours on clear FS + encrypted swap for me.
2h is still running on encrypted FS + encrypted swap after 21 hours.

...and I greatly appreciate your efforts so far.  It's interesting that
your first patch worked as well as it did (at least for lockups...I haven't
run any speed tests on it).
