Did anyone produce proof that they were the ones who signed up
linux-crypto to said mailing list? i.e. it might not just be spam.

P.S. "Firewalling", or indiscrimately filtering mail based on such
blacklists as certain high profile ones is always wrong in my view - I
certainly wouldn't pay a provider who did such things to my mail. I get a
/lot/ of spam but I don't filter out such mail just in case it's useful.
