cryptographic software other then loop-aes

Hello everybody, maybe its a bit offtopic question, but I was just 
wondering what if I have to use a windows based machine to encrypt my 
sensitive data. I see many cryptographic softwares, but I have no idea 
which one to use, which one is trustable/not containing backdoors etc.
do you have any recommendations about some windows based encryption software?
