The biggest problem I have with the I-patch is that it is totally broken
in regards to backwards compatability. loopfs made with I-patch 2.2 are
totally unreadable under 2.4. What scares me here is that the I-patch
authors have stated they have no idea why!!

That alone is enough to make me wary of the current I-patch ;)
