Still have the open(2) problem

I still get an open(2) failure on a plain 3gb file
created by dd if=/dev/zero.

I'm running a 2.4.3i now, no probs with the install;
even got freeswan 1.9 patches to go in.

loop7 patches must be in the release because an attempt
to add them says they are already there.

So I *still* can't open a big file from my own code, not
even a plain one let alone a loopback.
