FWIW: Last night I built a 2.4.2 pre5 kernel in this
patching order:

	* 2.4.1 base
	* 2.4.2 pre5 patch set
	* loop-5B patches
	* 2.4.0.3 international patch set

It compiled and booted without error. Now as to whether
it can *do* anything, I can't say yet because it was
a bit on the late side when I got to the boot up test.

So if nothing else, the patches cohabitate without
blatent outwardly noticeable problems...
