Copyright status of National Airspace Data

I spoke with Warren Davis at the FAA this morning about the copyright
status of the data. Basically he told me that there wouldn't be a problem
sharing the data. The only thing he expressed reservations about was the
reselling of the data, so I dont think we will have a problem.

I did urge him to include some type of README or other file on the
CD-ROM to clarify the whole copyright issue. He agreed and said they
would try to put something together for future releases.

Anyhow, I'll wait another day or two and see what our best offer is
in the way of a hosting arrangement. My hats off to those of you that
have offered resources. I'll get in touch with whoever has the best site
to make arrangements for transfer of the data (my copy of the CD-ROM
is good until late Feb).

Regards, John
