   The "raw" fixed length record files are really HUGE to put
it mildly. But, given that they contain *tons* of blanks, they can
probably be compressed quite a bit with (b|g)zip. I dont have the CD
handy, but I can post a file listing and some compression stats after
I get home this evening.

   Unfortunately, the resources I'm given for the fplan web site
won't be enough in any case. As it is, I barely have enough space
for the compressed versions formatted for fplan. But, if anyone on
the list has extra server space and bandwidth, please speak up and
let us know!

   I did not see any files on the CD that resembled a license
agreement. When I get time, I am going to ask Katherine Spencer,
the FAA contact, about this issue since it is relevant to the
redistribution of the fplan format files. I'll let you know...

   I'm a little surprised by the sudden interest in the "raw"
data. Just curious about what people plan on doing with it????
