That's what git is for:
git log v2.6.20.. drivers/whatever/yourdriver.c
That will tell you about every commit made to that particular file
since linux-2.6.20. Because every commit requires a Signed-off-by line,
you can see who contributed to your code.

That would make the amount of comments at the top of each line really
huge. :)
