edit the Makefile in the directory where you had placed your file to
add:

obj-m  += yourfilename.o

(in your case edit Makefile of /drivers/scsi directory)

then compile it from inside that directory by :

make -C /lib/modules/`uname -r`/build   SUBDIRS=$PWD modules
